Located approximately 3 kilometers from Balkondes Ngadiharjo homestay is a charming coffee spot called Rudy Coffee & Flowers in Kebonsari Village. 

The husband and wife who own it have a beautiful flower cultivation area that's perfect for afternoon relaxation.

Together with his wife, Aprilia, Rudy mainly cultivates ornamental plants, especially Aglaonema and Begonia. Dozens of potted plants thrive healthily and lush in their yard, creating a paradise for plant enthusiasts.

Now, these plants don't just stay at Rudy Coffee & Flowers. The beauty of the plants brings economic benefits as well. Buyers from Magelang and Yogyakarta come to purchase them, either in person or online. 

The price of each flower varies, starting from Rp10,000. While admiring the plants, visitors can also enjoy a cup of coffee at Rudy and Aprilia's café.

So, let's continue the exploration to a village not far from Kebonsari called Majaksingi. 

In this village, besides farming, some households are involved in the tofu-making business. 

Among them are Pabrik Tahu Pak Wiyoto and Pabrik Tahu Ibu Mulyana.

Ibu Mulyana started producing tofu with her two sons since 2022. 

They make tofu in a simple yet heartfelt manner. 

In a day, they produce around 75 kilograms of tofu, both white and yellow. 

There are no large and sophisticated machines. Everything is still processed traditionally. 

The tofu-making activities start from 2 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. 

After buying soybeans, Ibu Mulyana starts the tofu-making process, including cleaning the soybeans, cooking, and shaping them into blocks.

Witnessing the tofu-making process and having a direct conversation with food artisans will provide a unique experience for travelers. 

You can also buy tofu as a travel snack or souvenir to take home.

Since 2020, visitors entering the area of Candi Borobudur have been required to wear special sandals called Upanat. 

It's not without reason; these woven sandals are intended to minimize damage to the stones in this historical site.

For the production of these footwear, the government entrusted local communities. 
In collaboration with the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES), a community empowerment-based preservation program was held in the vicinity of Borobudur. 
There are approximately 14 craftsmen who supply Upanat sandals and bags to the Borobudur management.

One of the craftsmen involved is Misbah. A resident of Majaksingi Village, he shared that he is one of the 14 Upanat makers. 

Assisted by his wife, Indri, Misbah produces 50-80 pairs of Upanat sandals and bags every day.

This program is also an effort of community-based preservation around Borobudur. 

With the Upanat production program, Misbah and dozens of other craftsmen not only earn an income but also become part of Borobudur's preservation.

Observing the creativity of a couple who make Besek, their products are used in star-rated hotels in Magelang.

Still in Majaksingi Village, bamboo utilization doesn't stop at making Upanat sandals and bags. 
Musarofah and her husband use bamboo to make besek containers. 
Besek is a container made of bamboo and can be used to store anything from spices to food.

Besek is not only unique but also popular as an eco-friendly storage solution, dear travelers. 

Since 2001, Musarofah has been making besek. But in recent years, besek orders have increased because a star hotel, Amanjiwo, regularly places orders. 

According to her, Besek has become an iconic souvenir for hosting foreign guests.

In Kebonsari Village, Magelang, travelers can visit the Carica fruit processing house owned by Sukirman. 

There, visitors can buy this sweet delicacy while witnessing the production and packaging processes.

In Sukirman's hands, Carica fruit grown in the highlands is transformed into a unique treat. 

Originating from Wonosobo, Sukirman and his wife have brought their business to Magelang for about 5 years, now employing 5 workers. 

On average, Sukirman produces around 2000 cups of Carica per day.
