eVisa in Indonesia Provides Ease for Visa Applications (ss it) |
Foreign Tourists Easing Their Way into Indonesia with the Launch of eVisa
Since the Covid-19 pandemic a few
years ago, around 2021, and as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the
Indonesian government has been continuously improving and innovating, including
the creation of digital-based public services.
Recently, the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of
Indonesia launched an electronic visa service (eVisa) aimed at providing
convenience in serving the public, especially in pandemic conditions like the
present.
Furthermore, the implementation
of this eVisa service also carries a positive message for prospective foreign tourists who wish to visit Indonesia after the pandemic.
By providing easy access for
prospective tourists, it is hoped that the development of tourism and
Indonesia's creative economy will continue to grow after the pandemic,
accompanied by the preparation of safe tourism destinations.
With this service, Foreign
Nationals (FNs) no longer need to come directly to Indonesian Representatives
abroad or the Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia
to apply for, collect, or affix visa stickers on their passports.
Through the eVisa service, FNs
intending to enter Indonesia now only need to submit a visa application online.
Here are the steps to apply for an eVisa:
1. Visit the website Immigration
2. Register
3. Enter personal data and upload required documents (individual/corporate)
4. Wait for a notification containing the username and password
5. Submit Visa Approval Application
6. Log in to the application using the provided username and password
7. Choose the type of visa to be applied for, enter data, and upload required documents
8. Make the payment (ensure that the data and requirements are correct, as payments cannot be refunded if rejected)
9. If approved, you will receive a notification via email
eVisa applications can be made
from anywhere the applicant is located.
The verification process will be
expedited, with a processing time of 2 (two) working days, and the visa will be
sent to the applicant.
In order to streamline
bureaucracy, both the applicant and guarantor will no longer need to meet
physically but will instead receive it directly via email.
Once Foreign Nationals (FNs) have
received the eVisa, they can proceed with their travel to Indonesia.
This ease of access is one of the
factors expected to support the development of tourism in Indonesia after the
pandemic.
With this innovation, it is hoped that prospective tourists planning to visit Indonesian tourist destinations after the pandemic will also increase.
